To delete text from a page, in the Document window, select the chunk that you want to delete and press Backspace or Del on your keyboard. You can also modify how text appears on a page by editing its font, size, color, alignment, and other attributes. To modify text in the Document window, click and drag to select the text you want to modify.

To override the Mac OS defaults and enable an application’s default key commands, open System Preferences (in the Dock) and then open Keyboard & Mouse.
